Position: Senior Measurement Analyst
Mandatory Skills:
-5+ years experience in Software Quality with the understanding and
utilization of the full SDLC with a proven track record of Software
Measurement program implementation.
-Strong background in data analysis, evaluation and software quality
measurement
-Knowledge of Oracle SQL-Plus, relational databases, data mining and
data modelling is essential
-In depth knowlege of SEI and CMMI level software measurement models
-7+ years hands on expertise in advanced measurement techniques and
model building, including function point counting, GQM/PSM
-Bachelors degree in software engineering, computer science or an
equivanlent degree (Advanced studies or degree preferred)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
-Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
-Experience in software packages such as Crystal Reports, SPSS, Excel
and Access

Job Description:
On behalf of our Client, a definite leader in technology, we are
searching for a Senior Measurement Analyst. This exciting opportunity

Working with the Strategic Capabilities team to implement a multi-year
measurement program, the successful Candidate is a highly-motivated,
self-driven personality with the ability to function effectively with
minimal supervision and guidance. This position requires strong
analytical, communication, organizational, problem solving and
interpersonal skills. You must possess skills in facilitating,
negotiating and consensus building at both a management and an
individual contributor level.
Responsibilities Include:
-Analyze information needs, solicit requirements and interpret data.
-Document measurement requirements and design parameters ((i.e.,
definitions, measurement functions, measurement methods, goals and
objectives, reporting formats, and additional qualifiers).
-Design the measure algorithms and software programs required to
implement the selected measurements.
-Work with software management, engineering and quality personnel to
help analyze and interpret software measurement results. This includes
education on how to properly analyze and interpret the measurements,
how to set appropriate measurement objectives, and how to utilize the
measurements without negative impacts to personnel or data integrity.
-Act as an agent of change working with the software and quality
communities to facilitate the implementation and expansion of the use
of software measurement throughout the organization. This includes
marketing the measurement program, working with various teams as a
measurement champion, promoting the use of measurements to improve
decision-making based on measurement results and researching the state-
of-the-practice in industry wide measurement utilization and
innovations.
-Perform report production of standardized measurement reports.
-Produce ad-hoc reports and data queries to provide measurement
information on an as needed basis. Analyze these information requests
for potential additions to standardized measurement reports.
-Work with Information Technologies and software and quality
organizations to define requirements for data collection and reporting
from corporate databases.
-Monitor data integrity of corporate databases and initiate corrective
action as required.
