Re: surface fit and parameter estimation

Hi all,
I have a 3 col. data set X=[2.3 4.5 6.7
[2.3 4.5 6.7 ...], Y=[....], Z
= [....] of 150 points each and I have a model
Z=f(X,Y), with unknown
parameters alpha, beta in it. I want to estimate
these two parameters
using the data set.

Any suggestion?

Thanks for help

Is the model linear or nonlinear in the parameters ?

Best wishes
Torsten.
