hi. i've create an animation using a series of figures and plots in matlab. after much debugging i got it to work. it seems to play at least. however i am unable to find the .avi file which has been created. does anyone know where is the avi file exported to?

In a common way it must be in the path specified by function pwd of matlab.

So type in command window:

pwd

thanks a lot. i went to that directory stated and there was nothing. i am not sure what is wrong. but i changed the working directory to my desktop and everything works. could be a problem with vista's file protect or something.

Yes. It is. I don't have vista on my computer.
