Re: startup.m extra startup options

I use Windows. I can create a shortcut, but i don't know
what you mean about the different directory. yes, the gui is
in a separate startup.m.

thanks, Carlas

Hi Carlas,

This helps quite a bit. But I have other questions. What
platform are you using (Unix, Windows, Mac)? I use Windows
for the most part, so I was wondering if you could create a
shortcut (windows term) which starts MATLAB in a directory
that does not contain a startup.m file. Also is this GUI in
a seperate startup.m file or has the administrator modified
the matlabrc.m file?

Let me know,

Donn

Hi Donn,

Thanks that you want to help me.
The startup.m now starts up a self made package that has a
gui. I actuality don't want to start this package and this
gui when i run a script from the command line(so this
comes
down to just a empty startup.m). I can't just delete the
default startup.m because i don't want to bother other
users
so i thought about adding a startup option or something.
Does this help?

thanks,
Carlas

Hello,

When i start matlab from the command line i would
like to
execute a different startup procedure. Is there maybe
a
way
to add an extra startup option so i can put a logical
statement in startup.m?

Does someone know a solution?

Thanks,
Carlas

Hi Carlas,

There probably is a way to do what you want but you did
not
provide enough information for me to be able to help
you.
Send a little more specific information and I will try
to
help.

Donn
