BTW the profile looks something like this if sectioned
laterally. The chamfer shown as \ is the area i
want to
measure (angle of the chamfer).

Drawn here is one portion of the sectioned bore. I'll
upload the dwg somewhere and give u the link
later....

You can measure the lateral thickness of the
chamfered annulus in your
top-down view, but do you know the height
(depth)? If you can't
determine that, then you're out of luck for determining
angle.

Well i dont know the depth which can indeed be
obtained as another image from the side inside the bore
it the annulus can be measured can't we measure this
as well..

BTW how accurate will the measurement be by doing
this way...

assuming we know the dimensions of a bore which
indeed is shot in the same view with the annulus can
we take that as a reference.
