Hi,
I have a compiled code from an older version of matlab
(v7.0) that I was using at school. I'd like to run that
code on my home computer, but I don't have access to the
original MCRinstaller.exe file. However, at work I have
access to 2007b's installer file? So, I was curious find
out if they are backward compatible.
Hi,
no, they are (intenionally) not compatible. To run the .exe
you need to have exactly the MCR of the version with which
the exe was generated. The MCR comes with a unique
versioning (allowing to have multiple versions of the MCR
installed without problems). They are entirely separated
from each other...
