confusion in my original post. I am actually trying to fit
an elliptic cylinder to my data. Not being able to get
anything other than [a b c f g h p q r d] = [0 0 0 0 0 0 0
0 0 0] was a bit of barrier. I look forward to trying all
of your suggestions. I am learning linear algebra and
MATLAB at the same time, and am a bit over my head at this
point, but I am happy to have stumbled onto a wealth of
knowledge and assistance on this forum.
