Licensing calls in S-Function
I have been asked to consider methods of restricting the
use of C-MEX S-functions by embedding license calls in
them. Ideally this would involve contacting our FLEXlm
license server. Will there be issues given that the Matlab
executable is already connected to TMW's FLEXlm daemon? Or
potential symbol clashes if our FLEXlm client library is
linked into the MEX function?
Something tells me I'm going to run into big "challenges"
and wondered if anyone could explain what they'll be and
how to solve them.
Any other experiences or advice also welcome of course.
I'm considering going "bare-back" (no license) and just
time-bombing the MEX file on creation. Or node-locking it.
TIA
