Good day to everyone,University of Santo Tomas, Philippines. I just want to ask
Hello! I'm Robin Erric Ogdol; a student of
on what are the advantages of using this software in
teaching Mathematics especially to High School Students. I
hope for your favorable response. I really need this for
one of my requirements here in school. Thank You!!
At the risk of getting myself lynched here, I would suggest
that you should consider looking at Mathcad in preference
to Matlab. Don't get me wrong here, I am not suggesting
that Mathcad is better than Matlab; it is simply that
Matlab is a superb mathematical programming language,
whereas the Mathcad format is much closer to standard
mathematical syntax, and will almost match exactly what the
student will see in their text books - e.g. integral signs
look like integral signs as do differentials. It also
handles units (sometimes just too well ;-)
It also has the advantage of being significantly cheaper.

Now the trick is to dodge the flack that will be coming in
my direction
