Re: Looking for a book

Rune,
Thanks for your reply.

I have the Lynos book already, but it does not talk too much about
limit cycles in IIR etc.

Does the Antoniou book cover these topics in more details ?

Best regards,
- Santosh

Hello,
I am looking for a book that covers

a. Floating point implementation of digital filters.

Any text on Digital Signal Processing (DSP) will do.

b. Discusses effects of finite precision on IIR implementation.

Try

Antoniou: "Digital Signal Processing. Signals, Systems and Filters"
McGraw-Hill, 2006.

The book is a bit of a specialist's book on filters, I wouldn't
recommend it for learning general DSP. If you need a
start-from-scratch intro text on DSP, get

Lyons: "Understanding Digital Signal Processing"
Prentice-Hall, 2004.

For medium level general texts, try the book by
Proakis and Manolakis, or the one by Oppenheim,
Schafer and Buck (be aware that Oppenheim and
Schafer have co-authored numerous texts on DSP,
make sure to get the right one).
