Please Help

i am unable to install matlab. when i run setup.exe, the splash
screen
appears and disappears and nothing happens. i have an amd turion 64
processor with xp sp2.
i had installed this before and it worked well until about a month
when
it stopped working..i removed matlab manually from hard disk as i was
unable to uninstall..is there a way to remove this completely and
install again ?
