finding where a graph intersect with itself
So this is probably a really easy and stupid question, but my mind is
drawing a totaly blank right now. I have two vectors, call them G and
B, that when plotted as plot(G,B), it comes up as sort of circle (think
of the Jesus fish). Now I'm interested in finding where this circle
intersects with itself (imagine the forked part of the tail of the
fish), but I'm not sure how to do this. It seems like I could use the
'fzero' command, but that needs to use a function of which I'm not sure
how to create.
Any ideas on how to find this?
thanks
