Are you seeing only "Fit Editor" and "Table of Fits" on the Fitting Window?
If so, try clicking your mouse on the divider between them and dragging the
mouse down.

Thanks for quick response, but unfortunately i do not have
"newtable
fit button". Al I got is blank in top of that menu and
upoptions
at the bottom?! Is there something I must change in the set
orIt
options of matlab to allow for access to all menu options?!
isyep, I did create a data set and somehow that button would not be
driving me nuts.maybe I need an additional extension? Anyone?
thanks again
thanks
The only other possible thing I could think of: did you create a
data set
in the CFTOOL yet? Click on the Data button and create a data set
from some
variables in your workspace (if you don't have anything in your
workspace,
load the census.mat file as sample data). Then try going to the
Fit window
and see if the New Fit button appears/is enabled.
Also, just to confirm: what version of MATLAB, what operating
system, and
what Java version are you using? Type "version -java" without the
quotes at
the MATLAB prompt to determine the Java version.

available. Matlab 7 is my version and Windows XP is OS. As for Java
not sure, I believe the latest update of it (am at work now, can't
check. How can Java affect Matlab performance? thanks
PS: I will post Java version as soon as I get home.
