Re: External hardware trigger on MCC card

Unfortunately, you're correct, hardware digital triggers are not supported
for analog output on Measurement Computing devices. This is a feature that
we're looking to add to our MCC support, but is not available at this time.
Although the capabilities and naming of Measurement Computing and National
Instruments devices are similar, the programming of these devices is not, so
we don't get features "for free." on similarly named devices.

All the best,

Hi,

I am trying to perform a synchronous I/O with my acquisition card
(mcc PCI-DAS6036) for my research project. I read in this newsgroup
that synchronous I/O are possible with this card using hardware
trigger (via AUXIN1 and AUXIN4). I manage to get the hardware trigger

working fine on the input, but unfortunately it does not work on the
output. In fact, the error is:

??? Error using ==> daqdevice.set
Bad value for analogoutput property: 'TriggerType'.

Error in ==> hvdiocontrolled2 at 46
set(AO,'TriggerType','HwDigital')

So i understand that hardware trigger are not enabled with mcc card
on the output, although they exists in terms of hardware. I saw that
output and input hardware triggers exist with National Instrument
cards, and i thought it will be the case with this card as it is very

similar to NI cards. Is there an update for this card that can enable

hardware trigger on output under MATLAB? Or is there any other way to

enable, via MATLAB, hardware trigger on the output for this specific
card?

Thanks for your help!
