So are you saying that its really a problem in 3d?
Is the normal distribution now normal in 3d? Are
the assumptions I made still valid?
If they are, then look at my derivation, what things
change? Does anything but the number of degrees of
freedom change?
If the assumptions are not valid, then my derivation
is not either.
