What is the state of Robotics Currently.

I have been hearing since years Robots are going to come just like
computers in every house. When will that happen.

I mean a decent robot for every family which says jokes & poems. Brings
water for visitors. Cleans all utensils and cook food for breakfast
lunch & dinner.

Such a robot will be pleasent to keep.
