Of course, the one advantage of swf for websites (which I didn't mention)
is that they look the same in all browsers.
and a downside is that the content is not "accessible" (i.e., ADA/Section
508 compliant), it is not searchable, and the content will not be indexable
by search engines.
I wonder when Google will get around to interpreting graphic
pages/images with OCR and offer searches on what was previously not
computer readable.
