Well, on second thought, William has a point. A Mac keyboard has three
modifier keys -- control, command, and option -- whereas a typical
Windows keyboard has two -- control and alt. Three modifiers does
allow for more combinations than two, obviously.
The "Windows" key is pretty much irrelevant to a discussion of
graphic design software, as it's functions are not at the
application level.
The "Windows" key isn't really irrelevant to the discussion, because
without it, a PC keyboard wouldn't have enough modifier keys to
duplicate the functionality of a Mac keyboard.
I use a PC keyboard with my Mac, and map Alt to Command and Windows to
Option (leaving control as control).
