Help! Not able to burn slideshow on LITEON Cd-burner

I am hoping someone can help me fix the following problem:

I have a desktop PC, WIN98 SE, Have a LITEON Combo SOHC-5236K Cd
burning drive, using Photodex ProShow Gold 2.5 to create auto-run CD
slideshows.

When I try to burn the slideshow, the Photodex software warns me that
the PBC (PlayBack Control) is disabled and that this may cause
problems. It then proceeds to burn the CD but when I attempt to play
it in my computer or in my neighbor's computer, neither computer reads
anything on the CD.

How to I enable the disabled PBC or otherwise correct this problem,
please.
