doubled log messages

All messages generated by krb5kdc and kadmin are being logged twice, one
right after the other in their respective log files. Weird, huh?

kdc.conf snippet:

[logging]
default = FILE:/var/log/krb5libs.log
kdc = FILE:/var/log/krb5kdc.log
admin_server = FILE:/var/log/kadmind.log

Running these RPMs on RHEL v4:

krb5-workstation-1.3.4-12
krb5-libs-1.3.4-12
krb5-server-1.3.4-9

Any help appreciated.
