Location: Silver Spring MD

Responsibilities include:

Developing Software Design Document (SDD) and System Design
Specification (SDS)
Provide test development and test site support
Perform analysis support that provides elicitation, analysis,
documentation, validation, verification and management of software
development requirements that express the needs and constraints to be
placed upon the development of requested software products.
Track, follow, execute, and complete an extensive set of tasks
Systematically extract and inventory the software development
requirements from a combination of resources including human
stakeholders, the system's environment, feasibility studies, market
analyses, business plans, analyses of competing products and domain
knowledge.
Gather requirements to facilitate the development of software
solutions including business requirements, end user requirements and
other functional requirements as necessary to develop the requested
software solution.
Gather non-functional requirements that specify the qualitative
aspects of the software system including such elements as flexibility,
maintainability, portability, reusability, responsiveness,
availability, and performance.
Gather constraints relevant to the system that will be developed
including accessibility, safety, legislative, regulatory and
organizational policy requirements.
Perform analysis to insure gathered requirements are complete,
comprehensive and coherent.
Perform analysis to detect and resolve conflicts that may exist within
the requirements that have been gathered.
Perform analysis to discover system requirements which may require
elaboration into software requirements.
Analyze enterprise architectural guidance and coordinate with
organizational software architecture representatives as necessary to
identify architectural or technical requirements that must be included
in the software development specification.
Analyze gathered requirements to understand and classify them in terms
of functional/non-functional, high-level/emergent, product/process,
volatility/stability and priority (mandatory, highly desirable,
desirable, optional) as balanced against cost of development and
implementation of approved scope.
Provide for the documentation of requirements specifications as
indicated by the software development lifecycle phase of the assigned
efforts.

Desired experience:

Requisite Pro
Knowledge of UML and the ability to develop use cases, class diagrams,
collaboration diagrams, etc.
Excellent communications ability. Coordinate meetings with stake
holders, collect requirements, document, write documents etc.
Knowledge of using Requisite Pro.
Technical background, preferably development, ability to read code
(would need to learn to read some M code).
Knowledge of hierarchical data structures, in particular B-trees.
Some hardware (Windows server and storage knowledge).
Clinical health care systems would be very useful
HL7 knowledge would be useful
DICOM knowledge
Cradel
DOORS
4 year degree in computer science or technically related field.
