I have a Seagate Cheetah st373405lcv hooked up to a 2940UW.

The card sees the drive and it is correctly identified on the boot up
screen.

If I go to FDisk, it is not seen.

I did format it using the SCSI Utility in the 2940UW.

It is also not seen by Windows.

I'm assuming, I know that is a foolish statement, that the card is
correctly terminated as it is seen by the 2940UW, so what can be the
reason it is not seen by anything else.

Do you mean that you did an apparently successful low-level format via
the Adaptec screen (prior to startup of your OS)?

Have you attempted to run fdisk again since doing this?

Yes, I formatted it thru the Adaptec Utility but when I try FDisk it
tells me that there is no fixed disk present.

Have you installed the DOS drivers for that particular scsi card?
