I'm not so much interested in a throughput comparison, especially not with a device with a 'wacky' SATA connector.
But for the rest, my 'sticking' to SCSI mainly is because of the upward/downward compatibility through the ages.
My latest, a Dawicontrol Ultra 160 controller still supports my
MO, HDD, Onstream, SCSI-I, DAT, DVD-RAM, Internal, External, whatever.
I would agree. That's another area where SCSI has a huge edge. It is still a technology that has stood the Test of Time very well.
But, bij de weg, what's "Dutch Plumbing"?
Not just Dutch Plumbing. Dutch SURREALIST Plumbing! That's what happens when you're trying to fix pipes and paint at the same time. ;-)
Seriously... The reference in my sig block, and my Usenet moniker, make up an appreciative nod to the Firesign Theater, an American radio comedy group that dates back to the mid-70's. One of the characters they mentioned in one of their skits was Anton Squeegee, said to be a Dutch Surrealist Plumber.
I simply took that a step further. If you're curious about FST, check this link:

The specific reference to Anton Squeegee may be found on the album 'All Things Firesign,' a collection of comedy shorts they did for National Public Radio. More specifically, it's on Track 10.
Keep the peace(es).
Thank you!
I immediately ordered this unique work.
Strange however that the cover of the above mentioned record is the least 'surrealistic', or maybe that IS surrealistic in that era.
This weekend I paint and plumb at the same time.
Quite usual 'over here'.
There's nothing surrealistic about it.
