vuescan can't find scsi scanner

I'm running vuescan on a new box I just set up running FC4 (its x86_64
if that matters). Vuescan can't find my scanner, but it shows up in
/proc/scsi/scsi and it also works in sane. I've got read/write perms
on /dev/sg*. I just can't figure out why it is saying that it can't
find the scanner.
Output of cat /proc/scsi/scsi:
Attached devices:
Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: ATA Model: ST3250823AS Rev: 3.03
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 05
Host: scsi2 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: ATA Model: ST3250823AS Rev: 3.03
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 05
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 05 Lun: 00
Vendor: Nikon Model: LS-1000 Rev: 1.06
Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 02
I had this scanner and scsi card both working fine last week in my old
computer running FC3. I don't know what could be the problem.
