That really shouldn't be a problem with any version of Windows newer than 3.0. Unlike pre-OS-X Macs, VM has always worked reasonably well. ;-)
It is a problem with my XP Pro, if I don't enable more memory on the prefs of Vuescan. Mind you: I get 300Mb scans on my 512Mb system quite easily, so may be it is indeed a 512Mb boundary problem?
