pc1, pc2 and network printer hooked by a switch all working and printing
fine from pc1 and pc2!
To access to the internet, I put pc1 on DHCP mode and by the way i loose
the printing capability of pc1.
What i should do to restore the network printing and keep the pc1
connected to the internet.
Have you tried rerunning the printer configuration for pc1?
You'll get more help if you put the problem in the subject line; i.e., "network printing problem" or something like that. Most people tend to ignore messages with subject lines that just ask for help.
The IP config is:
pc 1 DHCP -----> internet access no network printing
pc 2 IP address: 192.168.100.2 and printing working
Printer IP: 169.254.233.255
PLEASE HELP
Ali
You should also say what IP address your pc1 is getting from DHCP, and what operating system is on pc1 so people can tell you what commands to try.
Can you ping the printer from pc1?
If you can print from pc2, then compare it's network and printer configuration files to those on pc1 to see what's missing from, or wrong in, the latter.
