Hi, got this old printer, added 16 MB Ram and Postscript, no more paperjams etc..

But what puzzles me is the IP port. It seems to work, a light is flashing when I try to send a JPEG from the Sony Ericson camera phone, but how can it be done?

Have a Thinkpad with IR and Win 2 K.

FreeBSD is another question.

My HP6MP book (probably close enough to your 5MP) says the IR port will
only talk to another IrDA device, and the device has to have an HP LaserJet
6MP printer driver installed. I read this to mean the IR port is just
replacing a cable - it will only work with a device that knows it is
talking to an HP 6MP/5MP printer, and the device has to convert the data
into printer-specific language. So I don't think it has a chance of working
from a camera phone.

Does the IR port work from the Thinkpad running Win2K?

Thanks! I found a HP service manual saying the same.
Havent tried it yet, well I have a cable and a lot to do, it will be more complicated than my current setup.......

Thanks again,

H.
