to see if the About choice was available?

Ah yes. I have found a secret menu/prog...

Go to...

Services -> Service this sevice -> HP xxxxx Series Toolbox

Then right click on the the window top bar and select "About"

New window appears with a crossed spanner and screwdriver icon.

Control double click on the icon an a new message appears

"This program is for troubleshooting and will modify your dervice blah blah"

Click continue and there is a new list of about 20 options that can be set.

I haven't investigated these yet but some examples..

"Black under printing <on>". Sounds like that might save some ink if you
don't mind slightly less dense black .

One option is named "Flight Recorder" I wonder what that does. One is called
"Low on ink warning"
