An IBM personal printer may be a dot matrix - not sure which one you
mean, but does it offer Epson emulation which is what most DOS programs
were written to use.

which need a parallel printer and cannot work with modern USB / Windows
printers.
We are now down to our last Epson 850, but still have a ready supply of
original EPSON inkjet cartridges which we supply at less than £10 each
(still in date!!).
However, what we need to know is what other printers can be used?
There are some programs available which capture the DOS printer
commands and redirect them to the Windows driver (presuming your
computer can run in a DOS window and under the cut down version of DOS
supplied in Windows XP).
However, what other printers do people use for computers which cannot
run Windows??
try an epson mx80 or an ibm personal printer. they work under cpm
