This part is confusing. I got Ip1500GeneralTool sent to me as IDo y ou mean I could fix the problem of the waste ink absorber
mentioned before,
but none of the steps you mention above were told for me to do. My
understaning is just to run
the executable file and a screen comes up asking your USB Port,
I amfor
not sure exactly what to put there. When I check printer details
stepport it says MPUSBPRN01, so I don't know
if I am supposed to put in 01 or 1 . I tried both and the next
wasbe
click onto press "Main" and "Platen" and that should be all, but when I
either Main or Platen, nothing at all happens. So it looks like it
didn't work.
I am not sure when pressing Main and Platen, if theprinter should
on.I
turnsWhen I put the printer on, the green button is flashing, then it
aboutto orange flashing, then if I was to print something, the message
waste ink absorber comes up, press Resume and when I press Resume,
can
doesn'tprint something. After that, I can print and the error message
you cancome up again. So where do those keystrokes above come in?
Mary
Don't keep printing! From what I've read, once the warning comes up
still print, but you should do the reset ASAP.
When the warning comes up, you have to press Resume on the printer for
it to print.
So you don't press Resume if you don't want it to print.
If you don't do the
resetwarning
and keep printing the printer then goes into a mode where you can'tprint
and also can't do the reset. That info comes from several postingsI've
seen and not from my own experience.
I hven't been printing. I am still trying to reset the printer. As far
as what I've been told, when the printer is properly reset, the
does not come up on the screen. It goes away. When I thought I was
resetting the printer (which hasn't worked so far, maybe I am doing
something wrong), I had to print something to see if the message goes
away, for that would mean the reset worked.
What I meant to say is I had to press print to see if the message goes
away. I am emailing with Tony. Everything has to be very exact about
what to set. I am trying to get it reset ASAP.
