I've reinstalled drivers 100's of times and it doesn't work, the pc
sees the rpint (ink levels etc)
Can anyone help

A long shot maybe but you might have some bad memory in your PC. Free memory tests are available from the Internet, it is worth trying, use the intensive test and let it run for several hours.
Also, try replacing the data cable, and if possible try the printer on another PC?
It sounds PC based to me but there is a possibility that the printer interface/cable may be the cause.

Well, this problem does sound nutty and i'm interested to find out what it is as well. I've had my r200 for over a year and print on it daily. So it gets a pretty good work out, and so far no problems.

Since it's been suggested you try cleaning up your HDD space and check your memory, here are 2 programs that will not only help you do this, but REALLY help maintain your computer running smooth.

The first program is free, called Everest and can be found here http://www.lavalys.com Opps! Turns out, they no longer have a free version! Well, if you can search for it, i'm sure someone still has the free version or you can get the other versions of the news groups. This is sort of a testing suit for your PC it gives you ALL of its info, tests everything and even can recommnd a few things!

The second program is Internet Trace Destructor found here http://www.steganos.com/?layout=default&content=products_itd&language=en

LoL I guess its found there, but not really. Anyhow, download this from anywhere you can. Basically, what THIS program does, is clean all the garbage out of your windows OS. When you "clean up the disk" with windows software, it leaves a LOT of stuff behind. This program does what windows claims to, and a lot more! You can configure it like 50 different ways!

So with those 2 programs, you'll be able to check your ram, video card, cpu etc etc, and keep your system's caches, temp and other folders clear to be able to fix the problems others have suggested!

Good luck.
