The previous work we did proved that the printer itself was working fine
because the test print was good.
The connector you are trying to remove needs the two metal spring clips to be
pushed "away" from the plug body, they need a little force but not much, when
they spring free you should be able to remove the plug. Then replace it in the
same position, this will clean the pins if they are contaminated, push the
connector firmly home. You can then push the spring clips back where they were.
If this does not fix the problem, I strongly believe you need to ask someone
who understands WebTV for help, it appears that nobody who frequents this
newsgroup does.
Have you tried to ask for help in the alt.binaries.online-service.webtv
newsgroup? Alternatively you may need to get someone to come in and help you.
