Epson Stylus Photo 890 memory deleted - please help!

Hi all

OS WIndows XP home SP2

This printer was turned off when it shouldn't have when it was connected to
a computer running Win 98 and a message appeared on screen saying the
printer's onboard memory would be cleared. It is still the same with the
correct XP drivers. When the printer is powered up the green light flashes.
It won't do a self-test. The technician at Epson couldn't resolve this
issue.

Is there anyplace on the web I can go for more details or if anybody knows
how to fix it.
