I tried entering "G:" and G:\" and going through the "Find" button, but all yielded same.what happens when using in a command line:

If it is a JFS volume, unmount it (rem the ifs line in config.sys) and run jfschk32, from the 'free jfs tools', on it, preferably from your backup boot of OS/2. The latest version of JFS still leaves unallocated sectors, formerly allocated, in the 'in use' bitmask, causing the file system to be dirty. Regular chkdsk does not fix this. There is also the bug where a deleted file' chain of 'in use' sectors are not removed from the directory. Could cause cross linked files in some situations. Regular chkdsk does not fix this either, But jfschk32 does. The Free JFS tools can be found on Hobbes <http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/os2/system/drivers/filesys/freejfs_1_1.zip>. I came across the both of these two bugs last Sunday evening on one volume while testing the Freetype/2 dll, so says the jfschk32 on screen report (jfschk32 ran without the /f flag).
