What do you mean with "playing VOB" files ? Are you
opening them as a regular file ?
Er.
Yes.
Somehow some of this files make it onto my desktop so I play them.
I dont' want to burn them off to DVD just to view them. So I play the
*.VOB's directly.
Is so, then this is
not really surprising. The player just picks the first
language it finds (i.e. it determines the audio (sub)-
stream from the first audio packet that comes in when
starting to read the file. There is no way for a play-
back application to figure out which substream carries
which language from a *.VOB file alone. This information
is stored in *.IFO files. And these are only evaluated,
if you choose "Play DVD", not when picking individual
files. Of course, this requires a properly authored
DVD structure, not just a bunch of *.VOB files.
OK. This fleshes the picture out a bit.
Say... Is there any way to get the entire VIDEO_TS directory to play
without having to load the individual *.VOB files one after the other,
or without burning it onto a DVD?
Thanks, again.
