Server loses printers

Hello,
os/2 v4.50 fp3 server
At random intervals, ranging from 2 weeks to 3 months, the server loses
its connections to its printers. So far the only solution I have found is
to reboot the system.
Each printer panel claims that its printer is "offline, jammed or out of
paper." All 5 printers at the same time.
I have tried stopping and starting the server (net stop server, net
start server) to no avail.
Is there a way to re-establish the server's awareness of the network
printers without rebooting?
