For PS driver, there is even a utility (pin.exe) to read a Windows .PPD
file (comes with the Windows driver) and update the OS/2 PS driver DLL
with it so that then the printer shows up with its correct name (the
utility "pin.exe" can be found in OS2\DLL\PSCRIPT directory once you
installed the PS driver).

I also tried this approach, but it did not work for me.
'Not work' means I get the P2015dn added to the postscript printer
driver (30.827 german) using eautil, ppdenc and pin and the ppd-file
from the Windows-XP-PS-driver. So far so good,
but trying to open the printer-settings or ('Job-Merkmale') does not
work (no settings window opens) and when I try to print to this driver
using Lucide, Lucide crashes and I get this entry in popuplog.os2

04-19-2007 10:57:07 SYS3175 PID 007b TID 0001 Slot 0096
G:\APPS\LUCIDE\LUCIDE.EXE
c0000005
...
PSCRIPT.DRV 0001:000173ef

I probably shouldn't mention this, but...

Bart van Leeuwen wrote improved versions of pin.exe & ppdenc.exe
for the eCUPS project. They are capable of handling much larger
PPD files than the IBM versions could, and they work around some
types of entries that can cause the driver to crash. You may
want to try:

BTW... I could be mistaken, but ISTR that I only got usable results
when I started with a virgin copy of the postscript driver. IIRC,
I either got errors or garbage when I messed around with the driver's
EAs.
