Unsubscribing from an OS2Voice mailing list to which I am not subscribed

A day or so ago I received a message from the OS2Voice Help mailing
list; I do not remember subscribing to this list, and I don't find a
record of doing so in the folder I keep of subscribing and
unsubscribing from lists. But anything is possible.
I have tried to unsubscribe by email and on the OS2Voice website,
using each and every valid address that I have. Each one returns a
message telling me that the address is not subscribed (some of them
also tell me that my unsubscribe message was in HTML, which is
nonsense). Yet that unexpected message did reach me, and it was
relayed to my ISP mailbox from whatever server it originally went to.
The easy way out would be just to make a filter to delete such
messages unseen, but this is unaesthetic and bad citizenship.
I don't find a way on the OS2Voice website that might help me find out
who I am from the point of view of the mailing list. What to do? Or
must I just fall back on the brute-force method, and filter such
messages out?

How to convince others that you are tolerant and nonviolent: throw
grenades and firebombs, burn buildings, decapitate those you can't
convince, and in general, exhibit your narrow-minded bloodthirstiness
for all to see -- and tell them you're doing it for God.
