To have a DVD drive show up you will need to have lines in config.sys to drive
it. These will be

basedev=danis506.add
basedev=daniatapi.flt
DEVICE=H:\OS2\BOOT\OS2CDROM.DMD /Q
DEVICE=H:\OS2\MDOS\VCDROM.SYS
IFS=H:\OS2\BOOT\CDFS.IFS /Q /W

In addition, if it's a DVD writer and you want to use UDF formatted media then
you'll also want
DEVICE=H:\OS2\BOOT\UNICODE.SYS
IFS=H:\OS2\BOOT\UDF.IFS
