Re: problems installing OS/2 Warp 3

Hi, here is some update.

I low-level formatted the 4 GB drive with this tool:
http://www.hgst.com/hdd/support/download.htm

(It's called "Erase Disk" in this tool, but I suppose it means
"low-level format".)

Here is the partition setup:

First disk:
device size type description
/dev/sda1 2 MB OS/2 Boot Manager
/dev/sda2 25 MB FAT16 MS-DOS 6.22
/dev/sda5 240 MB Linux swap Linux swap 1

Second disk:
device size type description
/dev/sdb1 1200 MB HPFS OS/2 Warp 3
/dev/sdb5 250 MB Linux swap Linux swap 2
/dev/sdb6 120 MB Linux ext2 Linux /var/log
/dev/sdb7 2780 MB Linux ext2 Linux root

All partitions have been created with OS/2's fdisk (*not* the Linux
fdisk/cfdisk). There is nothing (yet) on any of the Linux partitions.

So DOS 6.22 and OS/2 Warp 3 are on primary partitions.
All the other partitions are logical volumes.

Result: OS/2 fails to boot at the very same step: first boot from the
OS/2 partition. This time there is no error message at all: the cursor
blinks, and the hdd led is lit.

Any ideas ?
