To confirm for those reading this, in old E it just refuses to open the file, saying:
"You are not allowed to edit a file with a line length exceeding the maximum length of 32,767 characters"
So, I guess such a check should be added to AE so that people cannot get in the situation you had.
Oh gosh, don't reduce AE *back* to the System Editor's abilities. Please.
I suggest a warning message to remind users of System Editor's limitation, and that if the user intends to use Sysem Editor on this file some time in the future, they have to be aware that there file is beginning to reach of end of System Editor's abilities. That it the future they will have to use an editor that does *not* have this size limitation, such as Advanced Editor. (s)
