I had a little problem with BOOTOS2

Interesting you can even get that to still work.

One reason I tried it was to see if it would work.

It will work, in a lmited way, for a maintenance partition. I doubt if
you could get it to make boot floppies, unless you have 2.88 meg
floppies, and drive. Even then, you are likely to run out of room, if
you have a system that is more than a simple IDE disk system.

Another is because it was part of the great mess of stuff I transferred
from my old PC to my new one. It was already there, and I'd already set
it up to do what I wanted done, and... you know... inertia is a law. :)

We have migrated to using BootAble, and no longer bootable FDD sets,
rather a bootable CD. Suggest when you have time to start learning
"the new BootOS2" aka BootAble.

I may do that. I believe I'd rather have a bootable CD than a hard disk
partition anyway. One of the reasons for a maintenance partition is to
prepare for hard disk failure, yes?

I think you will find that bootAble leaves BOOTOS2 in the dust. I also
suggest getting the WarpIn installer version, which also contains my
CONFIG MAKER program, that will guide you through the complexity of
building a config file that will work. See:

for more information, and file download.

Hope this helps...
