download speed dropped

For some reason, my download speed from the net has dropped from 6M+ to
about 2.5M. This is with eCS, Comcast, a Motorola SB5100 modem, and a
Linksys WRT54G router. I've made no hardware changes, or messed with any
TCPIP settings. Downloads remain 6M+ (actually, above 7M) when using
Win98SE. Testing is done at blt.speakeasy.net.

Any ideas on what I can do to get my normal connect speed back?

If the router is between the cable modem and the eCS box, then there is nothing that the cable modem can see that is on the eCS box. ...
