BA2K restore problem!

Just had a disk failure on one of my machines. I suspected this last
Friday and did an immediate backup, leaving it going. Got in this
morning to an apparently completed backup (100% progress bar) and a
frozen machine (hard disk light on).

I have tried a restore. The catalog came back OK. I tried to restore
real files; the tape spins for a bit, and then I get 'unexpected agent
error' and an abort.

Anyone seen this? Lots of numbers too but I doubt they mean much to most
people.

The restore system is vanilla MCP2, but I've tried using the DANI driver
(it's an ATAPI Travan 4 drive).
