Aside from me, who else here uses FreeDos for retrogaming?

I know I know, I could have went with DOSBox and all for convenience,
but then I thought what if a virus hit my Windows. So I am very
grateful there is an open source operating system like FreeDos that
can be booted up without involving Windows, and DOSBox needs Windows
to work for most part anyway (no offense to DOSBox, I like both
equally, and uses/used both)
Quick question: This applies to the most current version of FreeDOS
1. Ok, for the sound to work in DOS games, is it true that you need a
Sound Card that have compatible DOS drivers? Like a PCI Sound Card,
probably the Sound Blaster cards?
Also does that mean integrated or built-in sound from the motherboards
on modern systems are not compatible with FreeDOS? I haven't had much
luck finding a compitble DOS driver with my RealTek Hi-Definition
Audio, so that's what I've been thinking.
2. Also for those that run or have played any of the Doom games in
it's original DOS version or DOS executables, does FreeDOS hang/freeze
upon exiting these games?
I had to reboot manually with the Reset/Power Switch, Ctrl+Alt+Del
won't even work. I'm guessing the problem is in these games' original
executable launch files, since I did not encounter any other similar
problems with DOS version games like Duke Nukem 3D, Hexen, or Heretic.
Please reply ASAP, thanks!!
