Deleting an installed Autoconf ?

I have been having trouble deleting Autoconf using
the bash rm -rf @manifest\acnf259b.mft method...
No has explained @manifest to me yet, and trying
to google hasn't been successful
(google is not what is used to be for some reason).
Anyways, I never get any success _or_ failure message
by executing
bash2.05b> rm -rf @manifest\acnf259b.mft
statement, and that concerns me.
Of course, the principal of what the acnf259b.mft file
tries to achieve is clear enough, and anyone should be
able to construct a simple batch file to acheive a
delete-package utility...
Another fascinating observation, with the unzip32.exe
installation is that I have a considerable number of
packages, most of them as recent as possible, installed,
and that installation is about 111mb...
my original installation, using the same packages but
from the FTP download site, and not necessarily as
updated, is considerably larger.
