My OS stability ranking list

One of the most common discussion is "Which OS is better, more stable,
faster ...?". I use PC computers since 1986, and this is ranking list
of stability based on my personal experience. I do not judge which one
is better, because it depends of the user preferences (I found more
important good MS DOS compatibility of Windows 98 than driver
certification of Windows XP or source availability of Linux, but the
most of people have different opinion). This ranking list considers
also how often I used the operating system and overloaded it.

1. Windows NT 4.0, SP6, used about 2 years, 9 hours dayly . In that
period it crashed only once with blue screen, and four times had memory
leak that reset button need to be pushed.

2. Windows NT 2000, used about 1 year, 9 hours dayly . In that period
it crashed only once with blue screen, and five times had memory leak
that reset button need to be pushed.

3. Slackware 8.1, Installed three years ago, booted about 10 times
without apparent problems.

4. Debian Sarge 3.1Installed four months ago, booted about 30 times
without apparent problems, but first instalation had to be repeat
because mouse hanged.

5. MuLinux 12, booted about 10 times, sometimes X Windows can not be
started

6.Windows NT 3.51 Used about 2 years, average every 20 days program
manager lost and system has to be rebooted.

7. Windows NT 4.00 SP1, Used about 4 months, average every 20 days blue
screen

8. SUSE 9.1 32 bit, used about 1 year dayly, often crashes (completely
locks up) when USB stick is plugged in

9. Redhat 6, when it boots, it works correctly, but booting itself
often fails (computer just reboots in kernel loading phase or reports
file system damage).

10. SUSE 9.1 64 bit, used about 5 months, had one file system damaged
and 5 complete lockups after large bittorrent download.

11. Windows 98SE, used 2 years, crashes with blue screen in average
once in two days.

12. MS DOS, used 10 years, depending on software can crash 20 times a
day or never.

13. Windows 98, used 3 years, crashes with blue screen in average twice
dayly.

14. Windows 3.1, used 1 years, although with well written applications
rarely crashes, it is very easy to make it crashed .

15. Windows 95, used 2 years, crashes with blue screen in average four
times dayly.

16. Windows 3.0, used few months crashes unpredictabely.
