Should I run MINIX

I have a nice old computer it's a Compaq, Presario 5020. I would like
to connect it to my my ethernet LAN, and connect a scanner and printer
to it. And also I would like to use it to temporarily store files I
transfer from USB peripherals. These files need to be cleaned-up,
assigned relevant identification, and organized before being moved to
a reposirtory I call the Gallery on my server. The question is what
OS should I run on the Presario.
The Presario 5020 has not got much speed, memory, or storage capacity,
but it passed diagnostics 100%, and it runs quitely. Here are its
specs: Pentium II Celeron 300 MHz processor, 64MB, 66MHz SDRAM,
chipset 440EX, MOD 8GB DOM. 66MHz external bus; presently running
Windows 98 v4.10.1998.
If I were to use MINIX it has to connect with:
- Netgear, PCI Network adapter, FA311 v-2
- Epson, Perfection 4490, USB flatbeed scanner
- Canon, i9900, USB inkjet printer
If I had reason to upgrade memory there are two 2 slots for 66/100/133
MHz memory modules; only128MB DRAM is verified, but rumer is 256MB and
512 MB modules will work. And I have a Seagate, ST330063 USB external
hard drive I might attach.
With MIMIX installed could I connect to my etho LAN? Can I connect my
scanner and printer, well as portable USB devices such as my Black.
