I tried doswrite command on floppy and it worked but you know, few
people use floppy disk these days.
You mentioned that I could use doswrite command to write a FAT
partition, could you give me detail?
Is that the same way that I did on floppy disk?

I haven't tried it, but ISTM that should work, yes. This is mainly
useful if you have a dual boot system. In this case you can set up a
shared FAT partition.

Perhaps you can also set up VMWare Player to access a physical
harddisk, just like you can do with CDs and floppies. In this case you
could get a similar configuration without dual boot. I don't know if
and how this can be done. Unfortunately you have to modify the VMX file
manually to change these settings and AFAIK the file format is not
documented (although some websites do give some info)
