Problem installing Minix

Hello all.

I just started to install Minix 3.1.2, as described in the
documentation (http://www.minix3.org/doc/A-312.html). I reach to the
disk partition section, but I'm stucked in the subsection 4.1: "An IDE
controller may have up to four disks. The setup script will now look
for each one. Just ignore any error messages. When the drives are
listed, select one. and confirm your choice."

So the installation shows me a message: "Probing for disks. This may
take a short while". And then it displays me three lines concerning AT-
D4 "multiword". According to the manual, it should give me an option
to select the IDE controller. Yet it doesn't seem that way. It does
nothing from here. I type anything, press enter and nothing happens.
It's stuck. If I restart, it'll get stucked again in the same place.

Any idea of what can I do about this?

I already have three partitions in my hard drive. In the first one, I
have Windows XP installed, and both the second and third one are
empty.

Thanks in advance. Any help would be really appreciated.

Regards,
Fernando Gomez.
